Luky & Cody’s front garden
Team Luke and Cody transformed the front yard of Brooke and Michelle’s South Australia home. Already charming, with its sandstone and red brick façade, the look is now complete with an elegant white fence and lamp post. Judge Wendy Moore felt the boys did a great job of enhancing the beauty of a stunning home.

Home Beautiful editor and judge Wendy Moore felt the beds in front of the fence were a little sparsely planted.
Plant choice
The plant choice reflects the style of the home, and will grow to be a beautiful, elegant and classic garden. A feature magnolia is a great focal point.
Luke & Cody’s cubby house
A cubby house decorated pretty in pink with contrasting white detailing makes a sweet play area, described by Wendy as “a really fab pop of colour.” She loved the way it nestled into the existing established camellias, creating a storybook feel. Unfortunately, it was empty inside! But this DIY attempt from two county boys is not to be sniffed at.
Claire & Hagan’s back garden
Team Claire and Hagan created a wonderful outdoor entertaining area, complete with paving, pergoa and a huge outdoor oven with a practical bench. As time passes, jasmine will grow over the pergola, and at light it will be softly lit by fairy lights.
Claire & Hagan’s dining zone
The dining table and chairs proved a great choice for this zone, providing ample seating and plenty of space for summer entertaining. To enter the yard from the home, a narrow step must be negotiated – not an ideal choice.
Claire & Hagan’s seating area
A simple seating area back by pencil pines was a missed opportunity – the trees won’t grow to fill the area, however Judge Wendy did find the seating area “quite sweet”.
Claire & Hagan’s chicken coop
Judge Wendy loved the chicken coop and its position, although she noted that the surrounding plant pots were a bit of a mess and the sea of mulch was tough to get through.
