Since my miniature dachshund, Lola, turned one a few weeks ago, I found myself deep in the sentimental fog that only other pet owners could understand. However, when she first arrived, tracking down stylish pet brands proved difficult, and my interiors suffered as a direct result of the family expansion.
“There’s nothing quite like a fluorescent squeaky bone to puncture a carefully considered palette.”
PARIS BLANCHFIELD
All pet owners know that there’s nothing quite like a fluorescent squeaky bone to puncture a carefully considered palette or a hulking, faux-fur pet bed to undo an otherwise elegant corner. But rather than lowering my aesthetic bar, I raised my sourcing standards. I traded synthetic fluff for high-quality dog beds, and quietly retired the more offensive chew toys. Over time, I amassed a collection of petware that looks design-led and, dare I say, display-worthy.
Now, after twelve months of relentless searching, I’ve finally assembled a master list of Australia’s best pet brands and all my favourite pet shop finds. And as a means to celebrate sweet Lola’s birthday, I’ll be sharing them with all the Home Beautiful readers who adore their pets as much as I do, but don’t adore the visual chaos that comes with them.
The Brief: Stylish pet essentials that don’t compromise on function
When combing through the vast number of Australian online pet stores for stylish dog beds, bowls, and accessories, I noticed a recurring theme: pet brands seemed to place an emphatic focus on either style or function, rather than a balanced blend of both.
Take a beaded, necklace-adjacent collar, for example. It might look pretty on, but do we really think it won’t get caught on our fuzzy friend’s fur?

You might have guessed from my work with Home Beautiful that I’m quite particular about interiors. However, I’m not the type to make Lola’s life less comfortable just so that my home looks easier on the eye; I needed pet brands that cater to pets and their humans. And for me, this meant looking for the following:
- Trendy, warm dog clothes for colder days
- An orthopedic, but stylish, dog bed
- Minimalist food and water bowls made from high-quality materials
- A portable water bottle and cup, also made from high-quality materials
- Luxury dog shampoo with natural ingredients
- A statement treat jar that keeps dog food fresh
- A high-quality, comfortable harness in a neutral colourway
- A matching lead
The coolest pet brands in Australia for design-led essentials
Editor’s Tip: While the physical locations of Australia’s best pet stores may not boast particuarly inspiring stock, one can often find plenty of gems hidden on their websites.
As it has taken twelve months to perfect my list of Australia’s best pet stores for stylish staples, I’m oh-so aware of just how painstaking the search for the perfect dog bed can be. However, I think I’ve perfected the art of keeping a stylish pet-friendly home and picked up some gorgeous accessories along the way, like the St Argo set that Lola is wearing in the following reel (and yes, I am the type of person who has an Instagram for their pet).
To save you the time and browser tabs, I’ve created a comprehensive, curated guide outlining all the pet brands I now lean on for a beautiful, pet-friendly home, and that I think should be on your radar, too.

1. Pet Bed, Damson Madder. 2. Pawfect Pair Bundle, Frank Green. 3. Axel Large Pet Bowl, Country Road. 4. Pooche Luxury Organic Shampoo, Nektar. 5. Pooche Luxury Organic Conditioner, Nektar. 6. Niche pet brands that all owners should know about
While my favourite pet brands tend to lean niche, most can still be found online via Australia’s best pet stores, like Pet Circle, Petbarn, and Petstock; shopping from there earns you points that you might miss out on when shopping directly.
Oddly, Revolve also has a great range of premium pet products for those wanting to invest in design-led, high-quality pet staples.

01
St Argo
Best for: High-quality vegan leather harnesses and leads
Known for their stylish walking accessories for dogs, consider St Argo your go-to brand when you need to upgrade your pup’s walking kit.
I invested in their leather harness, lead, bag dispenser, and treat pouch combo when Lola was just a puppy, and because they’re so adjustable, she’s still wearing the same set that she was at three months old. Better yet, even after nine months of daily walks, the set looks just as chic as the day it arrived on my doorstep.

02
Damson Madder
Best for: Quirky but stylish pet beds, bowls, & accessories
Whimsical and endlessly playful, Damson Madder’s pet range is a recent and very exciting discovery for Lola and me. With adorable collars, stylish pet beds, food bowls, and even Ganni-esque accessories, Damson Madder is the pet brand for design-driven owners who want to invest in functional essentials that their furry friends will love too.
I have to admit that I’ve been a little selfish, as the only Damson Madder pieces I’ve picked up have been clothing items for myself, but if they’re anything to go by, I’m expecting their pet range to be luxe and of equally high quality.

03
Snooza
Best for: Comfortable and stylish dog beds
If, like me, your dog is prone to back problems, finding a comfortable and supportive place for them to sleep (that doesn’t ruin your carefully curated interiors) isn’t easy, but that’s where Snooza comes in.
With their extensive range of stylish pet beds, including orthopaedic options for fragile friends like mine, it’s no surprise that I’m crowning them as Australia’s best pet brand for dog beds. And if you’re curious about my favourite style, it has to be The Cuddler; while I’d love to get Lola on an orthopaedic dog bed, she just adores the circular styles.
