I’ve always believed that good furniture is worth investing in. After all, a beautifully made sofa or dining table isn’t something you replace on a whim (or at least, your bank account would rather you didn’t). But I also know there’s something particularly satisfying about securing a piece you’ve been pining after for a fraction of its usual price. Which brings me to Castlery’s Black Friday sale.
With Black Friday landing on the 27th of November, Castlery is among the first home brands to launch their sales, and they’ve set the bar high with up to $850 off some of our favourite pieces (including a few sets from the Tan France collection that I’ve been openly obsessing over). As it stands, they’ve taken 50% off selected items, offered tiered savings of up to $850, and thrown in an ‘Early Access Gift.’ And if it’s your first time shopping, you can layer your $50 Welcome Voucher on top of those savings too.
In short, there are a lot of savings to capitalise on, and not a lot of time to do it. My advice is to start with the pieces you’ve been putting off purchasing. Because while a good discount is always tempting, saving on something you genuinely love (and will live with for years) is infinitely more satisfying. And if you need some inspiration to get you started, I’ve rounded up all my favourite pieces for you all to line your carts with.
Curate your dream home with these Black Friday furniture deals from Castlery
If you’ve been putting off a big-ticket furniture purchase, now’s the time to do your homework.
Castlery’s Black Friday markdowns span living, dining, bedroom and outdoor furniture, which makes the sale period a particularly good opportunity to tackle those larger decorating projects. Personally, I’d be prioritising the pieces that do the most heavy lifting in a room.

And then there’s outdoor furniture. With the warmer months almost upon us, I’m particularly interested in pieces that blur the line between indoor comfort and outdoor practicality. Because if there’s one thing Australian summer entertaining calls for, it’s somewhere comfortable to soak up the sun.

Editor’s tip: Remember, the prices and savings listed below are based on how much each item would cost if it was bought alone. The more you spend, the bigger the discount: tiered savings are as follows:
- $120 off $1,500 + base discount
- $250 off $2,500 + base discount
- $550 off $4,500 + base discount
- $850 off $7,000 + base discount
If you’re going to splurge on one piece of furniture, I’d argue that a sofa is a very good place to start.
Castlery’s collection leans into generous proportions, inviting upholstery and clean, contemporary lines, with options ranging from compact two-seaters to sprawling modular configurations. My advice? Look beyond the colour and consider the proportions, seat depth and upholstery. A beautiful sofa is only a good investment if you actually enjoy sitting on it.

A good dining table should be able to handle everything from hurried breakfasts to elaborate dinner parties, ideally without looking like it’s trying too hard. I’d be looking for natural finishes, simple silhouettes and pieces that can be dressed up or down depending on the occasion. After all, the best dining rooms are the ones that get used.

Castlery’s outdoor collection brings many of the same design principles as its indoor pieces to patios, balconies and entertaining spaces, with generously sized seating, contemporary dining sets and finishes designed for outdoor use.
I’d focus on versatile pieces that work just as well for a quiet morning coffee as they do for a long lunch with friends. And don’t underestimate the impact of a good outdoor rug or a few carefully chosen cushions.

Is Castlery furniture worth buying during Black Friday?
For me, the appeal of Castlery lies in its ability to make contemporary furniture feel approachable without sacrificing the details that make a room interesting. There’s an emphasis on proportion, materiality and versatility that lends itself particularly well to Australian homes, where furniture often needs to be as practical as it is beautiful.
Of course, no discount can make an ill-considered purchase worthwhile. Before committing, I’d recommend measuring your space (and then measuring it again), ordering fabric swatches where possible and thinking carefully about how your chosen piece will work with the furniture you already own.
It’s also worth paying attention to the spend thresholds. Castlery’s maximum advertised saving of $850 applies to a $7,000 spend, so smaller purchases won’t necessarily attract the headline discount. But if you’ve been saving for a substantial furniture upgrade, or furnishing several rooms at once, the Black Friday offer could make the numbers considerably more appealing.
Where to shop Castlery’s Black Friday sale in Australia
Castlery’s Black Friday early-access sale is available through its Australian website, with savings of up to $850 on qualifying purchases.
As always, I’d recommend comparing the final price, checking delivery costs and confirming any promotional conditions before placing an order. And one final piece of advice: don’t let a countdown timer make your decorating decisions for you. Beautiful furniture is worth waiting for. Paying less for it is simply a very welcome bonus.
