She may have conquered catwalks from Paris to New York and built a global wellness empire, but Miranda Kerr is still very much the down-to-earth Aussie girl who grew up in Gunnedah. Now a mother to four sons – “little koalas” as she affectionately calls them – Miranda has found a way to get back to her Australian roots in the most charming way: over a cup of tea.
Her new Royal Albert collection, Australiana, is inspired by her upbringing. “It feels incredibly special to collaborate with a heritage brand like Royal Albert,” she tells Home Beautiful. “I grew up with their teaware in my grandmother’s home, so there’s a deep sense of nostalgia and personal connection for me. To now be part of their story, bringing a piece of my Australian heritage to life through this collection is such a full-circle moment.”
We caught up with the model and entrepreneur to talk interiors, rituals and the joy of teacups – and gathered her top five tips for hosting a tea party the Aussie way.

1. Draw from nature
Florals or ornaments that speak to your best memories help set a heartfelt tone. “I grew up surrounded by eucalyptus trees, golden wattle, cockatoos and blue fairy wrens,” shares Miranda. “I spent most of my childhood outside, climbing trees, riding horses and swimming in the river.” Just because it’s a tea party doesn’t mean it has to be prim – natural touches make it warm and welcoming.

2. Inject your personality
When styling a space, Miranda suggests it should reflect who you are. “I love incorporating meaningful touches, whether it’s a pop of colour, a whimsical detail or something that reminds me of nature or family.” she says. “I want it to feel refined and calming at the same time.”

3. Make it a ritual
For Miranda, tea is a daily pause – a way to reconnect with herself or loved ones. “Whether it’s sharing a tea moment with one of my boys, enjoying a quiet cup on my own with a face mask or winding down with my husband in the evening, tea has become a comforting and meaningful part of my daily routine.”

4. Bring out the good plates
Don’t save your favourites for special occasions – they’re meant to be enjoyed. “The white teacup and mug [from the Australian collection] are closest to my heart,” says Miranda. “They feel timeless and elegant.”

5. Feel the joy
We might sip tea every day, but the magic is in slowing down to truly enjoy it. “My hope is that people feel a sense of joy, calm and connection when they use this collection,” says Miranda. A small moment can spark happiness – if you let it.
