Living room
The Bali-inspired living zones designed by Fil & Joe certainly pack a punch, thanks to the tropical feature wall from Pickawall! The comfortable Oxford tan couch is from Matt Blatt and the earthy Cayman lights from Beacon Lighting.
Living room
The living room feels calm and serene. The walnut coffee table and Replica Hans Wegner chair are both from Matt Blatt.
Study nook
Fil and Joe even managed to squeeze in a study space, although the nib wall didn’t find favour with the judges in the compact room. They chose a walnut table and matching chair from Matt Blatt.
Kitchen
The dark Hafele cabinetry from Masters is complemented by a pebble splashback from Beaumont Tiles in a kitchen designed by Claire and Hagan. The Balinese door to the pantry speaks to the house rule, although the shelving behind was a bit of a miss for the judges.
Kitchen
The Electrolux fridge and oven are practical considerations.
Master bedroom
A rattan fan from Beacon Lighting sets the scene for a Balinese bedroom by Luke and Cody. The judges liked the choice of furniture, the batten ceiling not so much.
Bali Resort
Luke and Cody brought lots of texture into this Balinese resort-inspired space, although the matting used as a feature wall didn’t find favour with the judges. Bedlinen from Adairs.
Bathroom
Claire and Hagan fitted out the bathroom in true Balinese style, customising a basin and choosing luxe tiles from Beaumont Tiles and surmounting the problem of a window in the shower zone by utilising a waterproof blind. The layout got the judges’ thumbs-up, but the low height of the vanity a thumbs-down. Bathe supplied the showerheads and taps.
Second bedroom
Luke and Cody’s second bedroom followed a similar scheme to the first – finished with carpet from Carpet Court and a rattan fan from Beacon Lighting. Bedlinen from Adairs.
