Nearly a year following their divorce, Hugh Jackman has taken a major step towards severing ties with ex-wife Deborra-Lee Furness and their New York penthouse.
The actor has relisted the couple’s lavish New York penthouse with a dramatically reduced price tag.
Set in Manhattan’s coveted West Village, the sprawling triplex apartment is truly a statement.
Celebrity penthouse
Designed by acclaimed architect Richard Meier, Hugh Jackman’s New York penthouse spans approximately 11,000 square feet across three levels. It boasts sweeping Hudson River views, expansive terraces and serene, gallery-like interiors.

Originally listed in 2022 for close to $53 million (AUD), the penthouse, which features an all-white interior, has reportedly returned to market for closer to $41 million (AUD).
This signals what many believe is a definitive closing chapter for the former couple.

The residence itself is every bit the sleek celebrity sanctuary. Floor-to-ceiling glass floods the home with natural light, while soft neutral tones create a stark atmosphere throughout.
The dazzling apartment features oversized chandeliers, a sweeping spiral staircase and dramatic double-height ceilings framed by floor-to-ceiling glass give the penthouse an unmistakably lavish feel.

Oversized entertaining spaces, crisp marble bathrooms and sweeping walls of glass give the apartment the polished feel of a high-end Manhattan showpiece.

Hugh Jackman moves on
The relisting comes amid renewed attention on Jackman’s personal life following recent public appearances with actress Sutton Foster. The pair were most recently appeared on the 2026 Met Gala red carpet together.

While headlines continue to swirl around the actor’s next chapter, the property move marks one of the clearest signs yet that the pair are beginning to untangle their extensive shared assets.

A split nobody saw coming
Hugh Jackman and Deborra-Lee Furness were once considered one of Australia’s longest-standing celebrity couples. They shared nearly three decades together before announcing their separation in September 2023.
The pair first met in 1995 on the set of the Australian TV drama Correlli.
Jackman was young actor fresh out of drama school and Furness was already an established name in the industry.
Just a year later, they married in Melbourne in 1996. The pair went on to build a life largely away from Hollywood, despite Jackman’s meteoric rise to global fame.

Over the years, the couple became known for their deeply supportive partnership. They regularly spoke publicly about family, longevity and maintaining a grounded home life amid demanding careers.
Together, they share two adopted children, Oscar and Ava, and divided their time between Australia, New York and the Hamptons.
When they announced their separation, Deborra-Lee noted a “betrayal” that sent shockwaves through the internet.
Since then, attention has naturally turned to the couple’s impressive international property portfolio. It reportedly includes luxury residences across New York and Australia.
Their West Village penthouse has become one of the most talked-about assets, not only because of its eye-watering price tag, but because it symbolises such a significant chapter of their shared life together.
Now, with the sprawling triplex officially back on the market, many see the sale as more than just another celebrity property listing. Instead, it marks the quiet closing of an era for one of Australia’s most beloved showbiz couples.
