This Dream Home reveal was followed by a dream proposal

Here's where they'll spend happily ever after.

Sisters Taeler and Elle may be a team on Channel 7’s Dream Home, but the house that was renovated belongs to the younger of the two, Elle, 29. She shares her Watsonia, Victoria, place with partner, Brody, 33.

Brody recently popped the question to Elle at a picnic, so the pair are now engaged. “All I want to do is marry Elle and start a family in our new home,” Brody told Woman’s Day.

No doubt their new home helped things along. It was renovated by Dream Home contestants Lara and Peter, Rhys and Liam, and Brad and Mel, whose home was completed in the same week.

We walk through each room and share feedback from the judges, Lana Taylor, Simon Cohen and Rosie Morley.

The facade underwent a complete transformation by Lara and Peter. The formerly brick walls are now nowhere in sight.

“I love the timber cladding,” said Rosie.

Lara and Peter also worked on the entrance hallway, pulling an all-nighter to finish the timber cladding.

It was deemed worth it, as it makes a magnificent first impression, with the former brown carpets long gone.

The tradie boys, Rhys and Liam, did Elle’s kitchen and dining area and they blew the judges away.

The ‘invisible cooktop’ was well received, but the dining table didn’t seem to fit the space well in their opinions.

Rhys and Liam also had the laundry, which was notably small, but the tiling was impeccable – no surprise as Rhys is a professional tiler.

Lara and Peter took on the living room and made the mistake of giving up some of their space for the boys’ oversized kitchen.

The judges marked them down for this and thought there were too many materials.

The main bedroom was completed by Brad and Mel, who proved they’re no longer reno rookies.

The judges loved the king-sized bed.

Brad and Mel also did the walk-in robe, which is open to the main bedroom.

No doors on the cabinetry means there’s pressure to keep things tidy, but it still got the tick of approval.

A glimpse of the ensuite by Rhys and Liam can be seen through the walk-in robe. It features a splashback tiled in opulent green marble and a double shower.

The lack of a door on the bathroom was considered a big no-no.

Lara and Peter redeemed themselves with the bedroom they designed, with a curved ceiling that really brought the wow factor.

Brad and Mel pulled off a pleasant bedroom that the judges were happy with.

Brad and Mel’s bathroom was divisive. Simon and Rosie found it a little dated, while Lana liked its warmth and natural finishes.

Along with the bathroom, Brad and Mel created a separate powder room which caused concern as it was stealing space from another room in the house.

Rhys and Liam landed the study, which was already at a disadvantage from having lost space in the previous week.

Adding floor-to-ceiling cupboards made the cramped room feel even tighter.

Congratulations to the younger half of sister team Taeler and Elle, and to Elle’s fiancé Brody.
