You might recognise Laura Sharrad from MasterChef, but what you might not know is that, since winning the 2025 season, she’s become one of Adelaide’s most-loved home cooks, and a serial renovator.
In this episode of The Edit, Laura chats to Home Beautiful Editor-in-Chief Elle Lovelock about growing up in a big Italian family, how a stint on MasterChef turned into an unplanned career – including following the footsteps of Julie Goodwin to join the Australian Women’s Weekly Test Kitchen team – plus the chaos of juggling content creation with restaurants and motherhood with husband Max and daughter Florence.
Plus, Laura shares some news that’s about to change her next couple of years completely and gives us the inside scoop on her dream kitchen wish list.
“I’m not sparing. I’ll spare the expenses in anywhere else, but not in the kitchen. That’s my happy place.”
Laura Sharrad
“I forever thought I was gonna be a teacher… I guess a lot of my work really is teaching people how to cook.”
