As far as Dyson stick vacuums go, this model sits in the middle in terms of price. Released in 2019, it features 60 minutes of run time, an LCD screen for updates and three cleaning modes. You can easily transform it to a handheld vacuum for car cleaning, and a ‘point and shoot’ mechanism hygienically ejects dust and debris into your bin, so you don’t need to empty it yourself.

Released in 2024, this 2-in-1 wet floor cleaner features two motorised, microfibre rollers and works on tiles, vinyl, laminate and sealed wooden floors, and can get rid of spills, debris, hair and dried-on stains. The dirty water tank’s easy to remove and clean, as is the debris tray. A click-in battery gives you up to 35 minutes of floor washing power. And yes, this device can replace a traditional mop (though it doesn’t have steam mopping functionality).

Dyson claims this vacuum is the slimmest in the world. Whether that’s true or not, it’s definitely compact – its handle is only 38mm. Four conical brush bars sit at the end of the handle, swivelling in all directions with built-in LEDs and cleaning right to edges. The vacuum works for 30 minutes after a charge and can flatten to 95mm for tight spaces.

It’s got two power modes, and lasts up to 40 minutes on a charge.

“The V7 takes the backache out of vacuuming,” writes a vacuum owner on Product Review. “For nearly 1.5 years, I cleaned houses ridden with fine dust, pet dander, pet hair and so on… and mess after mess. Only around 15-18 months did I need to service the floor head.”
