Bushland beauty
Built from scratch, this cosy country home draws influences from the exquisite surrounds. The simple colour palette – shades of grey, warm timber and ochre accents – speaks of the raw beauty of the bush. In the living room, a Hans Wegner chair enjoys prime position next to the concrete hearth. Metal trays pull out to provide easy access to firewood.
Living room
The naturally hued sofa came from Nicholas Design and the coffee table was picked up years ago from Hermon & Hermon. The shelves, home to a number of treasures, are made from spotted-gum.
Dining room
Timber continues throughout the home making a debut in the dining space, while the tray was created from a section of wine barrel.
Kitchen
The U-shaped kitchen was designed for ease of use. Spotted-gum benchtops and woodgrain laminate on the cupboards link the kitchen to the trees surrounding the home.
Master bedroom
The bed is dressed with Kip & Co bedding and a yellow quilt from Adairs. On the wall is a print by Sue Gill, while an old theatre chair from Made in Japan in Mornington provides an industrial touch.
