International interior design A-lister Martyn Lawrence Bullard’s latest interior design project, The Sands Hotel & Spa in Indian Wells, California will blow your mind. In a colour explosion of Palm Springs meets Morocco, there is something at every turn to stimulate and inspire interiors lovers.
Created by the award-winning Bullard in collaboration with the PRG Hospitality Group, the original 1950s era property has been transformed in a mid-century Moroccan mixing pot in a riot of colour, pattern and some seriously covetable upholstery.
The colour palette draws from a base of on-trend emerald green and deep blue with a steady flow of a sumptuous desert rose-pink, which is so divine it has us doing an about-face on our abandonment of its Millennial sister.
True to the “Rat Pack” era, Bullard’s interior design of the property is not shy in the glamour department, oozing showbiz and luxury in layers of pattern in tiles and wallpapers, shining in myriad mirrors and brass fitting throughout.
Currently in Sydney hobnobbing with Australian interior design elite, Bullard said on Instagram of his creation, “Our pink walls and cactus garden welcomes you through the lobby clad in my Ann Sacks collection tile designs, melanged together in an exotic pattern play bringing a fresh take on Moorish style to the desert.”
