IKEA is building a tiny B&B on Bondi Beach for the best sleep of your life.

Designed to educate people on the importance of sleep, the SÖMN [Sleep] Studio is part of a pop-up sleep festival IKEA is running this month with free bookable events and immersive sleep experiences, including the chance to sleep in a tiny Scandi house right on iconic Bondi Beach.

With thought-provoking panels and discussions exploring sleep, wellness and wellbeing, the program includes sessions addressing gut health. To this end, IKEA will also open the doors to FERMENTED, a pop-up cafe where guests can choose from a wall of fermented condiments on display – all designed to promote good gut health.

”At IKEA we know that sleep is a crucial necessity to living a better everyday life, and as experts in life at home, we want to inspire the many Australians to create an ideal and healthy sleep environment so they can feel refreshed and recharged,” says IKEA Australia Country Sales Manager Mark Mitchinson. “We are thrilled to invite Australians to mix up their daily routine and immerse themselves in a place they can unwind, switch off and learn more on how to sleep well.”

Other highlights include panel discussions, creative activities for kids, a sleep exhibition with UTS Future Living Lab and an evening of bedtime stories.

The festival of sleep is a free event so space for events and sessions is limited and some age restrictions apply. It will run from 7:30am – 9:00pm on Thursday 28th March at North Bondi Surf Life Saving Club, Campbell Parade, North Bondi.
