Kitchen clean up: Australia’s success at global design contest

 “The Farm” was named as a global finalist for the contemporary category. The modern, coastal retreat on the south east coast of Australia was also the recipient of Best Transitional Kitchen by Australian KDC Awards. We can’t get enough of that view.

Another global finalist for the contemporary category, this kitchen fit-out sought to capture and embrace the faceting geometry of the original 1970s apartment building to give it renewed life and accentuate panoramic views.

A HB favourite, this Matt Gibson Architecture + Design project was yet another finalist in the contemporary category.

A global finalist in the transitional category, we love the milky undertones of this home, complimented by marble bench tops and white oiled oak floors.  This space was also the recipient of Best Contemporary Kitchen by Australian KDC Awards.

It’s hard to imagine this world-class penthouse as the empty shell it’s owners purchased it as – now, it’s another global finalist in the contemporary category.
