Across the sea
In the light-filled lounge, an antique dowry chest shipped from India sits atop a cowhide. A classic Jardan sofa provides instant comfort, while two original Parker Knoll chairs that belonged to the owner’s grandmother add vintage charm.

Industrial indeed
The communal dining table was bought from Industria and is surrounded by replica Tolix chairs from Sokol. An eclectic mix of lights and vases – all second-hand finds – illustrate the owner’s penchant for collecting the unusual.

Wonderfully weathered
A weathered timber sideboard and built-in shelves are just the spot to display glassware, books and charming canisters, plus a ceramic pitcher and wooden boards from Manon Bis. The framed pictures of the farmhouse, sketched by a house guest of a previous owner, were a recent gift. >

School days
This wonderful storage unit, from an old dormitory at Geelong Grammar School and complete with past students’ worn scribbles, was picked up on Ebay.

Write away
A Scottish writing desk was inherited from a much-loved great-grandfather.

Ladder love
Subway tiles lend a heritage vibe, which is complemented by the vintage timber ladder.

Bed rest
A ‘Hydrangeas’ linen cushion, from Fenton & Fenton reflects the owner’s love of flowers, while ‘Vintage’ oak bedside tables from Sounds Like Home, a brass ‘I Love Desk Lamp’ from Fenton & Fenton and a Norsu Interiors silver-grey sheepskin rug create a beautiful mix of inviting soft tones.

Hanging around
The school hooks are a practical, yet beautiful, solution, as the owner admits to being “really bad at putting my clothes away!”
