Three Aussie families have scored huge overnight, with Channel Seven’s finale of My Reno Rules crowning its winner.

Tuesday night’s live final saw the judges award parents Mitch and Shaz a life-changing $1 million payday.

“I think I’m going to vomit!,” declared Shaz. “It hasn’t hit home that it’s real,” Mitch added.

$250,000 was awarded to Franky & Isaac, while mother and daughter Emma & Michelle took out a $100,000 third place. Victorian parents Nathan & Julia walked away with $50,000.

And, as the shows twist promised, two prize winners of Adrian Portelli’s LMCT+ giveaway had the chance to choose between one of the renovated Bulleen properties or a tax free $2 million cash alternative.

Both chose the cash, which meant neither house was actually awarded despite being the centrepiece of the series.

Before the finale…

After months of renovations, emotional setbacks and fierce competition, the Seven competition series set to crown its winning team during Tuesday night’s live finale, with the judges set to award one pair a life-changing $1 million payday.

But the contestants aren’t the only ones with plenty at stake.

Not your regular home renovations show

Property entrepreneur Adrian Portelli is once again set to hand over the keys to the four renovated homes, with two Australian families walking away as winners through his home giveaway model.

The four homes, transformed throughout the season by competing teams Nathan and Julia, Emma and Michelle, Mitch and Shaz, and Franky and Isaac, have all been fully renovated, furnished and landscaped.

While the finale will determine which team claims the competition’s top prize, Portelli’s giveaway means the homes themselves will soon belong to everyday Australians.

The result marks another major twist in the reality renovation format, where the properties no longer rely solely on traditional auctions to determine their fate.

Heading into the live Grand Finale, the competition could hardly be closer.

Who will win the My Reno Rules finale?

Victorian husband-and-wife team Nathan and Julia lead the leaderboard on 72 points after consistently impressing judges Neale Whitaker, Julia Green and Simon Cohen with their polished, family-friendly designs.

Just one point behind are both Emma and Michelle and young couple Mitch and Shaz, who sit tied on 71 points after delivering some of the season’s strongest room reveals.

Franky and Isaac remain firmly in contention after earning praise throughout the competition for their bold design risks and dramatic transformations.
