Winners of The Block 2025, Britt and Taz Etto have revealed their next exciting chapter. They have purchased a sprawling $1.4 million hobby farm in Western Australia.
Embarking on a new adventure
The police officers, who became WA’s first-ever team to win the show, snapped up the 2.24-hectare property near Mandurah. And, they are already dreaming up its transformation into a forever family home.

Known as Hazelwood Estate, the Tudor-style hobby farm features six bedrooms and three bathrooms. All feature the nostalgic charm of a home untouched for decades.
Built in 1981, the residence is filled with timber beams, exposed brick walls, retro bathrooms and bold red patterned carpet. It’s straight out of another era.
From humble home to hobby farm
Outside, the property offers everything you would expect from a hobby farm lifestyle. There are fenced paddocks, a sand horse track, stables, a tack shed, workshops and a swimming pool.
Announcing the purchase to their 68,000 Instagram followers, Britt and Taz said they had spent more than a decade searching for “a little farm near the ocean.”
Now, with a Block win behind them, the couple feel ready to tackle the enormous renovation challenge ahead. And they’re under no illusions about just how much work the hobby farm needs.
“After years of searching, missed opportunities, and wondering if this dream was simply out of reach… this property came along. And the moment we saw it, we just knew. Not because she was perfect — she’s over 40 years old and in desperate need of love — but because we could see everything she could become”

Thankfully for fans, Britt and Taz confirmed they’ll be documenting the renovation journey online, sharing updates as they slowly bring their vision to life.

Winners are grinners
The couple won The Block in 2025 after their Daylesford home sold for $3.41 million at auction, soaring $420,000 above its $2.99 million reserve. Combined with the show’s $100,000 prize money, the result earned them a total of $520,000.

Throughout the competition, Britt and Taz became known for their modern organic luxury aesthetic, blending warm textures, earthy tones and high-end finishes. However, this next project appears to be taking them in a slightly different direction.

Britt recently revealed she’s envisioning a “Modern European Farmhouse” style for the hobby farm property, leaning into its character rather than erasing it completely.
In a recent Instagram video, the pair explained they won’t be knocking the house down. Instead, they’re planning a full-scale renovation that respects the bones of the original home while completely reimagining how it looks and functions.
“We’ve had a really clear vision for this from the start,” they said. “How it will feel, how it will look, the kind of space we want to create here.”
Considering the farm hasn’t been updated in more than 40 years, there’s no doubt the transformation will be dramatic. But if Britt and Taz’s Block journey proved anything, it’s that they know exactly how to turn potential into something truly beautiful.
