Our mouths are watering.
If IKEA had a cooler older sister it would be Hem.
Meaning ‘home’, Hem is the Swedish-based furniture company bringing us a new way to look at furniture design, with a design-led approach and corralling frontline designers and manufacturers across Europe to make quality furniture by skilled craftsmen.
Currently only selling in the US and UK, Hem used its second Milan appearance to launch five new flat-pack furniture products, including a three metre long dining table.
Look for furniture, tableware, storage solutions and soft furnishings, including some gorgeous rugs!
We love Mark Braun’s marble ‘table mortar’, with its inventive dual function of grinding and serving spices.
We think you should sign up for more info and watch this space to encourage Hem into antipodean homes.
