Kitchen
Angular shapes and sweeping curves abound in the kitchen seating area, with every inch of space utilised. A sunny alcove is home to a bench seat upholstered in Woven Image ‘Eclat Weave’ fabric.
Dining area
A Lowe Furniture ‘Atticus’ table from Hub adds angular appeal to the dining zone, complemented by Eames chairs and ‘Caravaggio P’ pendant lights from Cult. For the kitchen area, beyond, architect David Boyle designed an irregularly shaped island bench with a Caesarstone top, creating space at one end for David Walley bar stools from Zenith Interiors. Floor-to-ceiling cabinetry, painted in the same Dulux Gamelan as the walls provides ample storage, while a stainless-steel splashback reflects light.
Living area
The living room is painted in Dulux Gamelan, a quiet backdrop punctuated by vibrant cushions from Aura By Tracie Ellis and Emily Ziz Style Studio. The retro-style timber joinery and floorboards are both in spotted gum, a warm counterpoint to a Zenith Interiors coffee table. Commercial carpet tiles stuck together create a unique rug at the centre of the room.
Master bedroom
Elegant greys and silvers lend a classic edge to the master bedroom. Feltex Merito wool carpet in Pewter introduces a warm texture, while a crimson ‘Luna’ knit blanket from Little White Home and a No Chintz cushion pick up the maroon tones in the original leadlight windows.
Fireplace
The bedroom’s existing fireplace was restored and retiled. Decorative touches include a garland from Castle and a cushion from No Chintz.
Children’s room
Colourful touches add playfulness and character to this light-filled children’s room.
Little details
In the children’s room, the original fireplace was removed, but an antique piece was found to put in in its place; try Heritage Building Centre for period designs.
Bathroom
Wrapping the bathroom in show-stopping grey mosaic tiles from Bisanna Tiles was a risk that’s paid dividends; this is a space with serious wow-factor. The custom-built Caesarstone shelf adds stylish extra storage. The simple fittings and tapware were all found at Rogerseller.
