The satisfaction of clean floors is often short lived in my home. With a big lawn and garden, plenty of windows and frequent guests, dust and dirt (not to mention long hair), accumulate at a frustratingly rapid rate.
On top of that, vacuuming is not my favourite chore. But, while my wooden floors can be forgiving, it got to a point last year where I realised I needed to break my procrastination cycle and reset my vacuuming routine.
So when I was given the opportunity to try Roborock’s H60 Hub Ultra, I knew I had to test it out. Especially because of the self-emptying charging station, which meant I wouldn’t have to tip the vacuum’s contents into my bin each time I used it (and wouldn’t have to touch it at all).
Knowing how nice it is to have clean floors at home, I decided to really put it through its paces – here’s how it fared.
Roborock H60 Hub Ultra Vacuum Review

Roborock H60 Hub Ultra review verdict
- Rating: 8 out of 10
- Why I rated it 8/10: The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra is a powerful stick vacuum that highlights and removes dust and dirt with impressive efficiency on both hard floors and carpeted areas. It’s remarkably good at sliding under low-profile furniture and the auto-empty station and charging dock make vacuuming an easier task. I just wish the battery lasted longer.
Pros
- Strong suction power
- The auto-emptying dock and charging station is a game-changer for convenience
- Lightweight
- Telescopic wand makes it easy to manoeuvre
- The anti-tangle brush for floors and carpets worked well on both my wooden floors and carpeted areas
Cons
- Very short battery life in high power mode
- Can get quite hot, especially when using as a hand vacuum
- The auto-empty dock requires dust bags, which cost $29.90 for three or $69.90 for 12

What’s so special about the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra?
The Roborock H60 Hub Ultra is a powerful cordless stick vacuum, with up to 210AW (air watts) suction power and a streamlined charging and self-emptying docking station (the ‘Hub’).
The other key features include:
- An anti-tangle brush suited to hard floors and carpets
- 140-degree green light detection for dust and debris
- Five-stage filtration that captures up to 99.95% of micro dust particles as small as 0.3 microns
- A nine-cyclone dust separation system that helps keep filters clear and suction strong
- Adjustable length, with a detachable motorised mini brush and a two-in-one crevice brush
- Detachable battery, with a battery status display screen
Priced at $999, it competes with other popular stick vacuums on the market – some of which don’t have the convenience of an auto-emptying dock.

Roborock H60 Hub Ultra assembly

Straight out of the box, the dock for this vacuum is pretty much ready to go – I just had to check that the dust bag was set up properly inside and then plug it in.
Assembling the vacuum was also relatively easy – each part basically clicks into place. So, not including charging time, I think it took less than 30 minutes to get it all ready to go. I was also really impressed by the quality of the build for each component – it all feels solid without being too heavy.
Results after testing the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra at home
In the first few weeks I used the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra, I really put it through its paces. I tested it on all the floors in my home – wood, carpet and tiles – and was impressed by the amount of dust and dirt it sucked up. The light works really well at showing up areas that need to be cleaned, which was a bit shocking at first but also very satisfying to tackle with this vacuum.
I was also happy to find that the vacuum fits under some of the low-profile furniture in my home, including one sofa and the base for my master bed.
As well as regular dust and debris, I used it to suck up some loose, thin bits of cardboard from the packaging. It did a great job, although I did get a bit scared by the noise when a bit of it got stuck (easily fixed by removing it from the head).

Set on the default power mode, the battery lasted long enough to vacuum all the spaces in my three-bedroom home. But on the highest setting, it only lasts around 15-20 minutes. That’s enough time for a spot clean, but not much else.
My husband also used it to vacuum the car, reporting that it lasted for closer to 10 minutes and got really hot in the process.
So, battery life is the biggest shortcoming for this vacuum cleaner. But I’ve found that with other stick vacuums, too.
My review snapshot:
I’ve found the performance features and convenience of the Hub 60 Ultra to be so good that I’m happy to work around the battery life.
I use the most powerful mode for short bursts of spot cleaning when it’s needed, and the default power mode to clean the whole house. As a result, I actually vacuum more often and don’t find it as much of a chore as I used to.
Is the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra worth it?
If you have a small home or an older stick vacuum, the Roborock H60 Hub Ultra is a worthwhile upgrade. The battery life can be worked around by choosing a lower power setting (which still has good suction), or by focusing on areas that need a fast clean. The dock makes emptying and charging it easy, and looks nice (as far as these things go).
Perhaps most importantly for me, it really has made me happy to vacuum more – something I never thought I’d say!
