How much does delivery cost?
David Jones offers free standard or express delivery in Australia for orders over $100, with a $10 fee for orders under $100.
There are also delivery frees for bulky items, such as a mattress or furniture. You can check the exact amount at the checkout or when organising delivery.
How long does delivery take?
David Jones usually dispatches orders within one to three days. After that, a standard post order usually takes two to five business days in metro areas. It can take up to seven business days if you’re in WA or a regional or remote area of Australia.
Express post orders take around one to three days in most metro areas and up to seven days for WA and regional areas.
If you want your purchase faster, you can also pay $15 for Metro Same Day delivery if you’re in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth or Sydney. Or, choose to click and collect from your nearest David Jones and pick it up on the same day if you order before 1pm. Your order will also be kept at the store for 14 days so you can collect it at a time that suits you.
Keep in mind that these options are for standard purchases. Delivery for furniture, white goods or other large and bulky items usually takes between one and six weeks.
What is David Jones’s return policy?
David Jones accepts change-of-mind returns within 30 days of your purchase when you have proof of purchase and the item is in its original condition. You can easily return items by post for a refund, or take them to a David Jones store for either a refund or exchange.
Keep in mind that some items cannot be returned if you change your mind, including altered or personalised items, furniture and pillows. You also can’t return items such as fragrances via post. But items that are faulty or don’t meet David Jones’ consumer guarantees may qualify for a refund, exchange or repair even after 30 days. Contact the store to find out your options.
