Does The Good Guys have a student discount?
The Good Guys doesn’t currently have a discount offer for students, but it does have a dedicated Back To School section with the latest deals on laptops, headphones, keyboards, backpacks and other school, uni and office essentials.
In the past, The Good Guys has had student discount offers through Student Edge and Student Beans, so if you’re a member of either of these programs you could check for new offers in the future. The Home Beautiful Deals Team will also update this guide if or when a new student discount code or deal is launched at The Good Guys.
Does The Good Guys have a loyalty program?
The Good Guys doesn’t have a traditional loyalty program, but it does have a Gold Service Extras membership program available when you buy certain appliances, such as washing machines, dryers, fridges and televisions.
This paid membership program offers some benefits similar to other retail loyalty programs, including access to exclusive offers and promotions and savings on future purchases in the form of three $20 store credits per year. Other benefits include personal support and service, simple replacement and repair options, and a 30-day price guarantee (which I think would be especially valuable if you needed to buy a new major appliance just before EOFY, Black Friday or another big sale).
Membership costs are listed in your cart and at the checkout for eligible items. To give you an idea, 3-year membership was $189 and 5-year membership was $239 for a dryer and a TV when I checked in February 2026.
How does The Good Guys price match work?
The Good Guys has a price-checking tool on the website, which automatically compares the price of available products at competitors including Harvey Norman, Bing Lee, JB Hi-Fi, Appliances Online, Myer and David Jones. If there’s a lower price on the same product elsewhere and it’s ready to ship with that retailer, The Good Guys will then offer an even better price to beat it. Customers can then click ‘Add to cart’ on the price beat offer to get that price.
Sometimes, the ‘Price Beat’ offer will pop up when you first visit a product page, but you can also check for a lower price by clicking ‘Price Check’ on the product page.
In-store, you can ask The Good Guys staff for a price match offer when you have proof of a lower price elsewhere, or ask them to check for a lower price. You can also call 1300 942 765 to report a lower price.
Does The Good Guys offer free shipping?
Outside of promotional offers, The Good Guys doesn’t offer free shipping as a standard. The cost is based on the items, location and type of delivery, and you can get an estimate of fees after entering your address details on the website.
As an example, when I checked the delivery for a Bosch 9kg Heat Pump Dryer, it was $59 for delivery to addresses in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane – as well as Coffs Harbour on the NSW Mid North Coast.
It’s also free to click and collect an order from your nearest store to save on delivery costs.
How long does delivery take?
You can get an Uber delivery on the same day if it’s available. Otherwise, you will get an estimated delivery time for your order during the checkout process.
What is the return policy?
For change of mind returns, you have 30 days to return items if they are unopened and unused. But unfortunately, delivery costs are not covered by this policy.
